The South Seas Hotel is a relatively cheap oceanfront choice with rooms starting at around $150, as of 2010. This small, boutique hotel is housed in a 1941 Art Deco building that was renovated in 1997. Pictures of Miami's past can be found hanging in the hotel lobby. The 112 rooms here are furnished very simply. The on-site eatery, Pilikia Café, offers complimentary breakfast for all guests, as well as lunch and dinner menus. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and all guests are given beach towels and access to the business center. A pool can also be found in a secluded outdoor area surrounded by lush vegetation. The real star, however, is the ocean, which is only steps away.
