Cheap Hotels in SoHo, NYC

SoHo, the area south of Houston Street in lower Manhattan, was historically home to artists who occupied the loft spaces in the architecturally interesting cast-iron buildings formerly used by manufacturers. Now SoHo is home to a number of trendy bars, restaurants, boutiques and hotels, many of which tend to be on the expensive side. There are, however, several affordable hotels in the area; rates vary a good deal according to day of the week and time of year.
