Chicago's downtown hotel rates almost always exceed the average, with rooms exceeding $300 per night during the peak summer months. While motels may not offer the elaborate amenities--pools, fitness centers, room service--of larger hotels, they do provide a cozy, convenient and cheap home while staying in downtown Chicago.
