Bellaire is one of several incorporated cities within the city of Houston, and guests staying at the Bellaire Inn have easy access to U.S. 59 and Loop 610. This retro mid-century small hotel sits on a quiet tree-lined street about a mile from the Southwest Freeway, away from noisy traffic but within short walking distance of restaurants, retail and Metro transit services.
The Bellaire Inn has 20 rooms and dates back to 1962. It offers cable television, direct phones, in-room refrigerators and ample parking. It is convenient to the Galleria area and Greenway Plaza, and about eight miles from downtown. Rates, which run about 60 to 75 percent of neighboring "budget" chain hotels, do not change seasonally. The smoke-free facility has no elevator, does not allow pets and accepts major credit cards with proper identification.

Nestled among some better-known chain hotels, the Southwest Inn looks like a remodeled Howard Johnson's without the orange roof. This 1966 two-story structure with 130 rooms has undergone a total redo. About 11 miles from downtown, it's close to Chinatown and other area neighborhoods that reflect Houston's international diversity, with many kinds of dining experiences, shopping and cultural events nearby.
The Southwest Inn is also convenient to Houston Baptist University. Guests will find easy access to inner-city areas within Loop 610, as well as those along the outer loop, Beltway 8. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi; cable television and meeting rooms with discounts for churches, schools and community groups. The on-site restaurant, Bojan, features vegetarian Indian food. Prices for smoking and non-smoking rooms compare favorably with neighboring national chain hotels, offering savings as much as 50 percent. The hotel has weekly and monthly rates available. Rates do not change seasonally. Major credit cards are accepted with proper identification. Pets are not allowed.
