Eilat has become one of Israel's premier destinations because of its moderate coastal climate. Over the last decade, many of Eilat's cheaper hotels and hostels have either sold-out to large hotel chains or established more expensive private rooms as people seek more personal space. Hotel prices in general are inflated due to it being a tourist hub. However, there are several hostels that provide the most inexpensive lodging rates in Eilat.
One of Eialat's cheapest hostels, is boasts a close proximity to Eilat's bus station. Less than a kilometer away from the beach, Fawlty Towers Hostel offers a clean environment with private bathrooms in each room. As of February 2, 2010 expect fees of NIS 120 (USD 32) for singles NIS 150 (40) for doubles. Cash is the only accepted means of payment.

The Deep Siam company provides housing for divers who are involved with their work but they often have lodging for non-scuba divers. While the housing is somewhat cramped, they are located just meters from the beach. As of February 2, 2010, the price range for this hostel ranged between NIS 80 (USD 21) to NIS 300 (USD 79).

This is one of Eilat's most popular hostel due its central location among the many nightclubs and closeness to the beach. While the price is more expensive than other hostels the social life is a major pull to a hostel like the Youth Hostel. As of February 2, 2010 expect a price range of NIS 100 (USD 24) to NIS 300 (USD 79), depending on whether you get a dorm or a private room.
