Las Vegas is more than world-famous casinos--it's also about world-famous entertainers and shows, some of which are so popular that they sell out months in advance. If you think you missed an opportunity to buy a show ticket before heading to Vegas, or that certain tickets are too expensive for your budget, think again. Through travel packages, discount ticket vendors and coupons or even your hotel concierge, you can snag some tickets on the cheap!
Purchase a travel package. When planning your trip, check out Las Vegas travel packages offered by a variety of travel websites (such as Vegas.com, SouthwestVacations.com or Expedia.com). These discount deals include flights, hotels, show tickets and more, which you purchase in a single transaction. Because headliner shows tend to sell out months in advance, it's a good idea to plan and book your package early.
Buy half-price tickets. Tix 4 Tonight, for example, offers same-day, half-price show tickets, as well as discount tickets for headliner shows. There are eight Tix 4 Tonight box office locations around Las Vegas; all of them open open at 10 a.m. (the Town Square location opens at 11 a.m. on Sundays), and each location posts available shows by 11:00 a.m. You must purchase the tickets in person.
Purchase a discount book such as the $49.95 Las Vegas Perks Discount Book, which offers 2-for-1 (two people for the price of one ticket) discounts on selected year-around shows. Although you may purchase these books before your trip, you can't use them while making show reservations over the phone (instead, you redeem your show certificates at the show box office, preferably the day before you wish to see the show).
Ask your concierge. Hotel concierges are knowledgeable about Las Vegas events and how to help you get last-minute, and sometimes discounted, tickets. Check in with the concierge desk at your hotel and inquire about any discounted show tickets. If they get you a great deal, tip them for their service.
