- Silk Mill Grille's history dates back to World War II. First open in 1929, the restaurant was originally a mill that produced silk parachutes for soldiers. Today Silk Mill patrons can marvel at pictures and old factory equipment that still remain as remnants of the building's storied history before enjoying the seafood, steak and spirits on the restaurant's menu. Full potato skins, mussels and cheese fries are only a few of Silk Mill's appetizer choices, while side dishes include homemade soup and chicken tenderloins. Dinner entrées include chicken, meat, seafood and pasta plates, broiled scallops and baby back ribs, as well as baked linguine and chicken Parmesan. Toliver House
- Gordonsville's Toliver House restaurant is on an historic Civil War era site that once housed a tavern patronized by Robert E. Lee. The current incarnation of the restaurant began operation more than 20 years ago in an old 19th century building. Toliver House serves meals for brunch, lunch and dinner, as well as pub menu items. Fried green tomatoes, calamari, soups and salads serve as preludes to Toliver House's dinner entrée selections, which include Cajun fettuccine, stuffed pork loin and salmon.
