Examples of tours include the Eagle Tour, which consists of a 20-story zip line drop, and the Bear Tour, more suitable for beginners, with five zip lines. Or, opt to zip line at night, or, for children at least six-years-old, participate in tandem with an adult. Ecological education is one facet of Ziptrek Ecotours' organized excursions. They use hybrid vehicles and produce their own energy, plant trees and avoid the use of chemicals to treat their wood; they teach their participants about these sustainable practices. Long Point Eco-Adventures offers a 2 1/2-hour zip line tour through protected Carolinian forest and marshland in Norfolk County. The adventure includes eight zip line courses, two suspension bridges and 14 observation platforms. The first zip line brings you to the top of a 100-foot ridge where you will enjoy beautiful views of Lake Erie. The last component of the excursion is an adrenaline-enhancing 40-foot rappel. Qualified guides will teach you about the local flora and fauna during calmer periods of the tour. Choose between a day or night-time tour.
