Tampa is a diverse area with easy access to several cities. Nearby Tampa are Sarasota, Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Bradenton. Tampa is also among the largest media markets in the United States, with millions of residents and millions of visitors every year. The city is also located in Florida's high-tech corridor, and there are opportunities for research and grants.
