Can you ride a go kart on the sidewalk in Michigan?

It is generally not legal to ride a go kart on the sidewalk in Michigan. According to the Michigan Vehicle Code, "vehicle" means a device moved by power from its own source or pulled by another vehicle. Go karts are considered vehicles under this definition. The use of vehicles on sidewalks is generally limited to motorized wheelchairs, motorized bicycles, and electric personal assistive mobility devices.
