Antarctica: No Traditional Vacation Spots

Antarctica has no hotels, resorts, or tourist infrastructure. Visitors are scientists, researchers, or adventure tourists on organized expeditions (ship-based, fly-in) focused on science, wildlife, and extreme-environment experience. Tourism is tightly regulated by the Antarctic Treaty System (IAATO guidelines). "Vacation" in the conventional sense doesn't exist there.
