When does the snow starts in Hong Kong?
Hong Kong has a humid subtropical climate, and it's extremely rare for it to snow there. The average temperature in January, the coldest month, is around 16 degrees Celsius (61 degrees Fahrenheit), and the humidity is usually high. Hong Kong sees an average of only about 1 centimetre (0.04 inches) of snow per year, and it usually falls in the higher elevations in the New Territories. The last time it snowed in Hong Kong was in January 2008.
