- Create an account and login to the website.
- Enter the departure and destination stations, travel date and passenger details.
- Select the train and class of travel.
- Proceed to payment and complete the booking process.
2. Mobile App:
- Download the IRCTC Rail Connect app on your smartphone.
- Create an account and login to the app.
- Follow similar steps as mentioned in the online train ticket booking process to book a ticket.
3. Telephone booking:
- Call the IRCTC Rail Yatri Seva helpline number (139) and follow the IVR instructions.
- Provide the necessary details such as departure and destination stations, travel date and passenger information.
- Make payment through credit/debit card or net banking.
4. Automated Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs):
- Locate an ATVM at major railway stations.
- Select the language and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Enter the departure and destination stations, travel date and passenger information.
- Make payment through cash or card.
5. SMS booking:
- Registered IRCTC users can also book tickets by sending an SMS to the IRCTC SMS number.
- The format of the SMS should be as follows:
Send this SMS to 58888 or 9773309888.
