How much whisky does Scotland produce a year?

According to the Scotch Whisky Association, Scotland produced 1.35 billion litres of whisky in 2022. This is the highest level of production since records began in 1980, and represents a 1% increase on the previous year. The vast majority of Scotch whisky (over 95%) is exported, with the United States, France and Germany being the top three markets.
