* Joseph Kabila Kabange (born 1971): Kabila was the president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2001 to 2019. He was the son of Laurent-Désiré Kabila, who was assassinated in 2001. Joseph Kabila was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2011. He was term-limited and did not run for re-election in 2018.
* Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo (born 1963): Tshisekedi is the current president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He was elected in 2018, defeating the incumbent president, Joseph Kabila. Tshisekedi is a member of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS).
* Étienne Tshisekedi (1932-2017): Tshisekedi was a Congolese politician who was the leader of the UDPS from 1982 until his death in 2017. He was a prominent figure in the opposition to Mobutu Sese Seko and was twice imprisoned for his political activities.
* Moise Tshombe (1919-1969): Tshombe was a Congolese politician and businessman who served as the prime minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the country's early years of independence. He was a controversial figure, praised by some for his economic policies but criticized by others for his role in the Katanga secession.
