Sudanese people exhibit a wide range of features, though common traits include dark skin, brown/black hair, dark eyes, broad noses, full lips, and tall, slender builds. Significant variation exists: skin tones range from deep ebony to lighter brown; hair from tightly coiled to straight; eyes include hazel and green.

Ethnic Mosaic

• Arabs (~70%): Dominant in north/center; known for hospitality, poetry, Islamic scholarship.
• Nuba: Inhabit Nuba Mountains; renowned for body painting, wrestling, music.
