Maverick Construction Inc. Ghana: Job Offer Scam Warning

Maverick Construction Inc. Ghana does not exist as a legitimate company.

Red Flags

• No registration in Ghana's Registrar General's Department.
• No physical address, website, or verifiable project portfolio.
• Unsolicited job offers (often via WhatsApp/LinkedIn/email) requesting:

• Personal data (passport, bank details, CV)

• "Processing fees," "visa fees," "medical fees" — advance payments

• Remote onboarding without interview

How the Scam Works

1. Fake offer letter with forged letterhead.
2. Request for money (Western Union, MoneyGram, crypto, gift cards).
3. Disappearance after payment — or further demands.
4. Identity theft using submitted documents.

Protect Yourself

• Verify company on RGD Ghana or GIPC.
• Check domain age (WHOIS) — scam sites are new.
• Search "Maverick Construction Ghana scam" — victim reports exist.
• Never pay to get a job. Legitimate employers cover visa/medical/relocation.
• Report to Ghana Police Cybercrime Unit + your local authorities.

If it feels too good to be true from an unknown African construction firm — it is.
