Why is libya called libya?

The name "Libya" is derived from the ancient Greek word "Libya", which was used to refer to the region corresponding to modern-day Libya, as well as parts of Tunisia and western Egypt. The name "Libya" is thought to have originated from the Libyan people, an ancient North African people who inhabited the region. Some sources suggest that the name may be derived from the Berber word "libu" or "lebu", which means "west" or "sunset", as Libya is located in the western part of North Africa.
