Brazil's Foreign Relations: No International Enemies

Brazil has no declared international enemies. Since the end of the Paraguayan War (1870), Brazil has maintained a tradition of peaceful diplomacy, non-intervention, and multilateralism. It enjoys cordial or friendly relations with virtually all nations.

Brazil is a founding member of the UN, OAS, BRICS, Mercosur, and the G20. Its foreign policy emphasizes South-South cooperation, environmental leadership (Amazon), and trade diversification. Disputes (e.g., trade spats, border demarcations) are resolved through negotiation and legal mechanisms, not hostility.

This "soft power" approach has made Brazil a respected voice in the Global South and a frequent mediator in regional conflicts.
