Does Africa have a lot of cultural diversity?

Africa is not just the world's second-largest continent; it may also have the highest concentration of diverse religions, ethnicity, languages, ethnic and linguistic groups than anywhere else in the world - an estimated total of some 21,000 distinct ethnic groups have been catalogued to exist by scholars, each with its individual language (in total about 3,000) and customs.
