Which parts of Africa are mostly uninhabited?

There are many reasons why some parts of a country may become uninhabited. For instance, a lack of water access can turn an area into a ghost town. Similarly, a lack of basic resources, such as vegetation, can make a place unfit to live in. Even diseases can cause an entire region to be evacuated — if a contagious disease becomes a health risk to all humans, the government will often force evacutaions.
