How was Egypt founded?

Egypt was founded around 3100 BC during the Predynastic Period, when Upper and Lower Egypt were unified by King Menes (also known as Narmer). Menes ruled from the city of Thinis and began the First Dynasty of Egypt, marking the beginning of the Old Kingdom period. He established Memphis as the capital and created a centralized government, bringing political stability and economic prosperity to the region. During his reign, Menes oversaw various infrastructural projects such as irrigation systems and canals, which increased agricultural productivity and further contributed to the development of ancient Egypt.
