The eastern Caribbean islands are situated on the upper half of the arc of islands that divide the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.     • Cupecoy Beach, St. Maarten is well known for its sandstone cliffs, caves and rock formations. The shores of this sandy, coral beach are popular, arrive at the beach early if you want to beat the crowd. The beach is also a clothing-optional spot. Bask in the sunshine and lounge by the shores or enjoy snorkeling, kayaking or hiking along sandy trails. A public parking lot is available on the shore side of the road.
