No, despite its name the Egyptian cobra does not live in Egypt. Rather, this species of venomous snake is endemic to certain countries in Sub-Saharan Africa including Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Northern part of South Africa, Angola, and Somalia.
