Malayali Population in the UAE

Estimates suggest ~500,000 Malayalis (people from Kerala, India) reside in the UAE, making them one of the largest Indian expatriate subgroups. The total Indian community in the UAE is ~3.5–4 million (~30–35% of UAE population). Malayalis are prominent in healthcare, engineering, finance, construction, and hospitality sectors.

Figures vary by source (UAE Ministry of Human Resources, Indian Embassy, community organizations) and fluctuate with economic cycles. The 500,000 figure is a widely cited approximation.
