What is the vegetation region of Tokyo?

Tokyo is located in the Kanto Plain of Honshu, Japan's largest island. The region is characterized by a temperate climate with hot, humid summers and cool, dry winters. The natural vegetation of the Tokyo area is temperate broadleaf and mixed forests. However, due to extensive urbanization, very little of this original vegetation remains. The majority of the land in Tokyo is now covered by buildings, roads, and other infrastructure. However, there are still a few areas of natural vegetation, such as the Okutama Mountains, which are located about 50 kilometers west of Tokyo. These mountains are home to a variety of plant and animal species, including bears, deer, and monkeys.
