Where did the early settlers of China come from?

The earliest inhabitants of China were nomadic people who migrated from the steppes of Central Asia. These early settlers were likely the ancestors of the modern-day Han people, who make up the majority of the population of China today. Other groups of early settlers included the Mongols, Tibetans, and Uyghurs.
