Was Thailand colonized or invaded by?

Thailand is one of the few Southeast Asian nations that was never colonized by a European power.

Thailand was invaded several times by the Burmese. King Bayinnaung of Burma invaded and occupied Ayutthaya in 1569, and again in 1584 and 1593. The Burmese were defeated and expelled by Naresuan the Great in 1593. In the 18th century, the Burmese invaded Ayutthaya again and occupied it for 15 years, from 1767 to 1782. The city was destroyed and the Siamese government moved to Bangkok.
