Progressive Rock Veterans

As of 2024, the British rock supergroup Asia comprises:

• Geoff Downes – Keyboards (2006–present; original 1981–86)

Lineage Notes

Original 1981 lineup: Downes, Howe (briefly), Palmer, John Wetton (vocals/bass, d. 2017). After multiple iterations, the 2006 "original three" reunion added Sherwood post-Wetton. This quartet tours and records (latest: XXX, 2022).

No founding members remain except Downes and Palmer; Howe joined Yes in 1970, Asia in 1983 (briefly), then 2006. Sherwood is the "newest" member, a prolific collaborator.
