What is the definition of Asia Minor?

Asia Minor (also known as Anatolia) is a historical region in Western Asia that roughly corresponds to the modern-day Republic of Turkey. It is a peninsular region bordered by the Black Sea to the north, the Aegean Sea to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Armenian Highlands to the east. Throughout history, Asia Minor has been home to numerous ancient civilizations, including the Hittites, Phrygians, Lydians, and Greeks, and was the birthplace of Christianity.
