How many outlets in Indonesia?

Indonesia's national electrical standard is 220 volts AC at 50 hertz. Most electrical outlets in Indonesia are of the Schuko type, which has two round prongs and a grounding pin. However, some older outlets may still be of the British BS 1363 type, which has three square prongs. Additionally, some hotels and other tourist areas may also have European-style outlets, which have two round prongs and a larger grounding pin.

To use a foreign appliance in Indonesia, you may need a plug adapter or a transformer. Plug adapters simply convert the shape of the plug to fit the Indonesian outlet; they do not change the voltage. Transformers, on the other hand, change the voltage of the power supply to make it compatible with the appliance.
