Where do Asian people originate from?

The earliest evidence of human occupation in Asia dates back to the Lower Paleolithic period, and some of the earliest known hominin fossils have been found in Asia, including Homo habilis and Homo erectus. The Homo erectus fossils found in Java, Indonesia, are among the oldest known hominin fossils in the world, dating back to around 1.9 million years ago. Homo erectus is believed to have originated in Africa and spread to Asia around 2 million years ago, and it eventually gave rise to other species of Homo, including Homo sapiens, which is the only surviving species of the genus Homo.

Asia is the largest continent in the world, stretching from the Middle East in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east and from the Indian Ocean in the south to the Arctic Ocean in the north. It is home to a diverse range of ethnic groups and cultures, and it is generally accepted that the peoples of Asia have diverse origins and have undergone various migrations and expansions over time. Some of the main groups of people who have contributed to the genetic diversity of Asia include:

1) The Australoid peoples, who are believed to be descended from the earliest hominins who settled in Asia and are often associated with populations from Australia and Southeast Asia.

2) The Mongoloid peoples, who are believed to have originated in East Asia and are characterized by several physical features such as almond-shaped eyes, straight black hair, and yellow or brown skin.

3) The Negrito peoples, who are characterized by dark skin and short stature and are believed to have originated in Southeast Asia and the Andaman Islands.

4) The Dravidian peoples, who are believed to be descendants of the Indus Valley Civilization and are found in South Asia.

5) The Indo-Aryan peoples, who are believed to have migrated from Central Asia into the Indian subcontinent around 1500 BCE and are the predominant group in Northern and Central India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

6) The Tibeto-Burman peoples, who are believed to have originated in the Tibetan Plateau and are now found in the Himalayas and Southeast Asia.

7) The Austronesian peoples, who are believed to have originated in Taiwan and spread throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

These are just some of the main groups of people who have contributed to the genetic diversity of Asia, and it is important to note that there is significant within-group diversity as well as inter-group diversity. Many Asian populations are the result of multiple waves of migration and admixture over time, leading to a complex and diverse genetic heritage.
