Why does Vietnam block the internet?

There is no evidence that Vietnam blocks the internet as a whole. Some websites and online content may be subject to government restrictions and censorship, for reasons which might include political dissent, sensitive cultural or religious topics, or cybersecurity concerns. These practices and their specific implementation can vary over time or may affect particular individuals or groups disproportionately, so it's always good to stay informed about your local legal context
