Karaoke Chinese Restaurants in Singapore

Chinese culture and cuisine are predominant among Singapore's diverse and colorful blend of ethnic foods. As such, the island has a bounty of Chinese restaurants that stretches well outside the historic Chinatown district, saturating the entire city with Cantonese, Sezchuan and Huaiyang flavors. At several of these restaurants you can combine a hearty meal with a karaoke session.

Spring Court Restaurant
- Set in a four-story heritage building in the heart of Chinatown, Spring Court is a family-run restaurant serving Chinese food with a Singaporean Cantonese twist. While Spring Court is one of Singapore's oldest Chinese restaurants (established in 1929), the music selection in the numerous VIP karaoke rooms is slightly more contemporary. Try one of their panfried noodle dishes, dian xin (dim sum) plates or the Peking duck. Find this restaurant right across from Chinatown Point car park, and come between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for lunch and 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. for dinner.

Da Dong Restaurant
- Founded in 1928, Da Dong offers another historic venue to enjoy Chinese cuisine. Their time-tested menu includes an assortment of Chinese classics and special combinations that include shark's fin soup, BBQ pork, roasted crispy chicken and yang-zhou fried rice. KTV facilities and karaoke rooms are found up the stairs from the dining section. With a spacious hall seating up to 50 tables, Da Dong is occasionally booked for wedding banquets, baby full moon dinners or parties, so advance booking is recommended on weekends and holidays. Da Dong is located in Chinatown and opens from 11 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Kia Hiang Restaurant
- Kia Hiange's menu features a range of Chinese and Singaporean favorites, among specialty Kia Hiang lobster and shrimp plates, claypot chicken dishes and Hong Kong-style dim sum. Consider sampling some of their innovative mooncakes such as durian, bak kwa (sweet barbecued pork) and chocolate-flavored cakes. The large venue (seating up to 480 guests), somewhat elegant atmosphere and economical group packages and promotions make this another popular venue for weddings and large events. The attached karaoke facilities also make it a fun spot for an afternoon meal/belting session with friends. Located at the junction of Jalan Bukit Merah and Kim Tian Road, Kia Hiang opens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. 10 p.m. daily.
