Sydney has two operational airports:

• Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD): Primary international/domestic hub, 8 km south of CBD, busiest in Australia, Qantas hub.
• Bankstown Airport (BWU): General aviation, 18 km southwest of CBD; flight schools, maintenance, light aircraft; no commercial passenger flights.
