Why the Confusion?
- London-themed pubs, streets (London Circuit in Canberra), and businesses exist in Australia.
- Historical ties: British colony (1788–1901), Westminster system, Commonwealth.
- Migration: 1.2M UK-born in Australia (2021) — largest overseas-born group.
London, UK at a Glance
- Metro: ~14.8M (2023)
- Global financial center #2 (after NYC)
- Time zone: GMT/BST (vs. Australia's 3–5 zones, UTC+8 to +11)
