Lachine is a borough (arrondissement) of the City of Montreal, located on the southwestern tip of the Island of Montreal at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Ottawa River (Lac des Deux Montagnes).

• Formerly: Independent city (1848–2001).
• Merged: January 1, 2002 (forced municipal reorganization).
• Population: ~44,000 (2021).
• Known for: Lachine Canal (National Historic Site), fur trade history, waterfront parks, cycling path, rapids.
