When was Scotland called Caledonia?

Caledonia is the Latin name applied by the ancient Romans to an area north of the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde in Scotland from approximately the first century. During much of the first millennium, its area was inhabited by tribes collectively known to the Romans as the Caledonii who spoke the now almost entirely lost Brythonic Celtic language Cumbric and from where the country gets its name of Cymru.
