Can you cash a US check in Bermuda?

It is not possible to directly cash a US check in Bermuda. If you want to cash a US check in Bermuda, you will first need to deposit it into a Bermuda bank account. Once the check has cleared (within 2-3 weeks) you will then be able to withdraw the funds in Bermuda Dollars (BMD) from your Bermuda bank account. Please note that there may be fees associated with cashing US checks in Bermuda, such as deposit and withdrawal fees, and currency exchange fees.
