Is the mediterranean sea smallest inland sea?

The Mediterranean Sea is not the smallest inland sea, although it is considered a relatively small sea compared to other oceans and seas. The smallest inland sea is the Sea of Marmara, located between the European and Asian sides of Turkey. It connects the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea and is about 11,500 square kilometres in area.
