Finding the Gold in Bolivia — Tomb Raider (Lara Croft) Guide

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018), the Bolivia mission ("The Lost City of Paititi" prologue) features a gold stash at the Tiwanaku Ruins.

Location

Region: Tiwanaku archaeological site, near Lake Titicaca.
Administrative: La Paz Department, western Bolivia, ~70 km west of La Paz city, near the Peruvian border.
In-Game: Early mission area. Lara explores the ruins searching for a artifact linked to the Mayan apocalypse. The gold collectible is in a side chamber off the main temple plaza—look for the climbable wall near the monolith.

Pre-Inca capital (500–1000 AD). UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Known for: Akapana Pyramid, Kalasasaya Temple, Gate of the Sun, precise stonework.
Not a "lost city"—never lost; Aymara communities live there continuously.
