Where is the Love Canal today?

Love Canal is a neighborhood in Niagara Falls, New York, United States. It is primarily known for the Love Canal disaster, which took place from the late 1940s through the early 1980s, when it was discovered that the neighborhood had been built on a toxic waste landfill.

After the hazardous materials were discovered, and the health effects of living in the area became known, the Love Canal neighborhood was abandoned.
