Who is in charge of Jamaica?

The Governor-General of Jamaica is the representative of the Jamaican monarch, currently King Charles III. The governor-general is appointed by the monarch on the advice of the prime minister of Jamaica. The governor-general is the head of state and carries out ceremonial functions. The prime minister is the head of government and oversees the executive branch of government.
