The Meramec River is a tributary of the Mississippi River in the U.S. state of Missouri. It flows for 110 miles (180 km) before entering the Mississippi near St. Louis. The Meramec River is typically 2 to 3 feet (0.6 to 0.9 m) deep in the summer and 4 to 5 feet (1.2 to 1.5 m) deep in the winter. However, the river can rise to 15 feet (4.6 m) or more during floods.
