Barbados is an island country in the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean Sea. It is located about 100 miles (160 km) east of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and about 200 miles (320 km) northeast of Trinidad and Tobago. Barbados is a coral island with a gentle slope from the rugged northeast coast to the calmer southwest coast. The highest point on the island is Mount Hillaby, which rises to 1,104 feet (336 m) above sea level.
