Who made the flag of Belize and when was it made?

The Belize flag was originally designed in 1950 when the country was called British Honduras. The designer of the flag is said to be Mrs. Eva Carmichael, who was a leading local artist and a teacher at St. John's Anglican Primary School in Belize City. The flag design underwent minor changes before being adopted as the official flag of Belize on September 21, 1981, when Belize gained independence from the United Kingdom.
