How does seaworld get their animals?

SeaWorld obtains its animals through a variety of sources, including:

- Stranding: SeaWorld works with government agencies to rescue and rehabilitate animals that have stranded on beaches or are in distress at sea. These animals are often sick, injured, or orphaned and would not be able to survive on their own in the wild.

- Captive breeding: SeaWorld also breeds animals in its own facilities to help maintain healthy populations and ensure the survival of threatened and endangered species.

- Scientific research: SeaWorld collaborates with scientists and conservation organizations to conduct important research on marine mammals and other animals. This research helps us to better understand these animals and how to protect them in the wild.

- Donations: SeaWorld sometimes receives animals as donations from other zoos, aquariums, or individuals. These animals may be retired from performance or be no longer suitable for life in the wild.

SeaWorld is committed to providing the highest level of care for all of its animals. The animals receive regular veterinary checkups and are housed in spacious, species-appropriate habitats that meet or exceed all federal and state regulations. SeaWorld also employs a team of experienced animal care specialists who are dedicated to the well-being of the animals.
