Does the Andes go into Amazon rainforest?

The Andes Mountains run along the western coast of South America, while the Amazon rainforest is located in the northern part of the continent, mostly in Brazil. The two regions are separated by a vast distance, and the Andes do not extend into the Amazon rainforest.
