Tropical Forest Cover: Colombia vs. Nigeria

Colombia has substantially more tropical forest area than Nigeria.

• Colombia: ~1.14 million km² land area; Amazon and Chocó rainforests cover ~45% (~510,000 km²). One of Earth's 17 megadiverse countries.
• Nigeria: ~924,000 km² land area; tropical rainforest confined to the south, covering ~10% (~90,000 km²) and heavily fragmented by logging and agriculture.

Colombia's forest extent is roughly 5–6 times larger in absolute terms and far higher proportionally.
