How many countries in ICRC?

There are a total of 193 countries in the world, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has a presence in 189 of them. The three countries where the ICRC does not have a presence are:

- North Korea

- Monaco

- Micronesia

The ICRC's work in these countries is carried out through its delegations, which are based in the capital cities. The delegations work closely with the local authorities and other humanitarian organisations to provide assistance to people affected by armed conflict and other emergencies.
